As a Fashion Design student at Ryerson University you spend your 4 or more years working towards one end show. This show is called Mass Exodus, and it is the largest student run fashion event in Canada.
When i was in high school i was walking though Holt Renfrew on Bloor and stopped in front of a mannequin standing on the second floor right in front of the escalators going up to the shoe level. I cant remember what the mannequin was wearing, but that didnt matter. What i was interested in was that the garment was from a Ryerson Fashion Design student and it was one of the top selected garments from Mass Exodus that year. It was then, when i read the students name and Ryerson University labeled on the floor in front of the garment that it hit me. I HAD to go to Ryerson and i was determined to have my work showcased in the hallways of Holt Renfrew.
I am not graduating yet but i would like to introduce you to this years Mass Exodus production : Zenith+Nadir. A lot of my friends are in the Communication side so they are putting on the show this year so i urge you all to check out their website and to come out to this amazing event to support the extremely talented work of Ryersons Fashion and Communications Design program!
